Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Months ago I contacted this outfit to obtain routine material for my business. I got a quote and paid for the material which arrived (but which came in partly damaged, so I filed a damage exception, but the amount wasn't significant enough to use my time on so I just abandoned it). Delivery was also delayed because of third-party issues, but I had plenty of time so their delays created only inconvenience and not a delivery emergency. Then, months later and out of nowhere I got an unsigned "billing adjustment" for almost the amount I had already paid.

After more time use rechecking their figures and my records, I found their "adjusted" weight and volume were incorrect. I responded accordingly in writing that I had already paid them in full based on correct facts, but they weren't interested in facts. They gave me the broken record treatment, as if they will just continue to invalidate the real facts until I see things their way.

The rude woman I exchanged e-mail with finally referred me to their company lawyer. That was after her claim that a photo of the boxes "didn't look like" their actual measured sizes. The lawyer also dismissed the facts. He restated their story that I still owe them money, even though I paid the agreed amount promptly and had long since put this behind me.

I'm a chemical engineer who is sure of the weights and volumes involved, and I still have the boxes my material came in to prove it. But they aren't interested in verifying the facts. Instead, they want to argue that my package weighed in 20# heavier than I say, that it has a volume which isn't possible (based on the box dimensions), and that I "owe" them another $235 on top of the $270 full price quote which I already paid them.

If they are doing this stuff over and over, as is apparent, and since no individual can wisely spend the money required to contest these "adjusments," it is a pretty blatant (nd possibly quite profitable) case of consumer victimization.
