Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I got a land line hooked up thru Frontier in Oct. of 2004. In December of 2004, I switched my phone service to Vonage and kept the number issued to me through Frontier.

Frontier has never fixed the white pages listing for my number. They still have my number listed as someone else's computer line who had our number before we got it in 2004.

I have gotten harassing phone calls from collection agencies on a weekly sometimes daily basis for the last 3 years. These calls are for the person who is still listed having our number as their computer line.

We tell these collection agencies that their is no one that lives at this number by that name and they don't believe us because in all of the phone books our number is listed under their name.

I have called Frontier 3 times about this problem and they tell me that it is not their mistake. It is because this should have been fixed 4 years ago when we got the number in the first place. Our number shouldn't even show up at all in any phone book because VOIP numbers are not listed.

I talked to Frontier today again, who told me to call dex, because it is listed in their phone book and it is Dex's problem, which isn't true because Dex gets the listings from the local phone companies. When I talked to Dex they said that Frontier had given them this listing in 2006, 2 years after we aquired this number.

Dex was quite helpful on the phone and told me they would try to get the problem fixed, they were going to contact Frontier and call me back in a couple of days to let me know if the problem was getting resolved or not.

I will update if this problem is fixed, but it still won't fix all of the new phonebooks that have this listing untill May of 2008.

It is a nightmare having collection agencies call us and harrass us for someone else's debt.

I wish I knew if there was any legal action I could take against Frontier. These is false information they are putting in a phone book and it should have been fixed almost 3 years ago.

I would switch my number, but I like it because it is easy for friends and family to memorize and I would have to let everyone that has my number know that we are getting a new number, plus it is the principal of the matter.

We should not be getting abused and harrased when this is not out mistake.
