We used funjet brochures to researh our trip. Using the star* rating we picked this package because the hotel had a 4 Star rating. We didnt expect anything fancy, but clean and well kept would have been nice. This hotel should have been rated with one star not four. The hotel we ended up staying at had a four star rating and there could be no comparision to the slum we were originally booked in.

The "victim" said that she and her sister paid $1000 for 3 days and 4 nights to stay at a horrible hotel. When you factor in that government fees and departure taxes are around $125 per person, they really only paid $750 for 3 nights and 4 days. That breaks down to only $375 per person for round trip air and hotel and she does mention if the hotel was an all inclusive property in which case all her meals and beverages, alcoholic and otherwise, would have also been included in the total price. Maybe these folks don't travel much, but even so, what type of accomodations were they expecting at those rates? Perhaps in the future, she should research her decision a little more carefully before pointing fingers. After all, at under $375 per person, it would have cost her more to stay home!
