The following weekend after my prior experience, I did another web search for the product I was looking for using The Find and it again came up with Garrett's, and it showed the original price I had seen. I quickly followed the link to their site and ordered 5 of the units. I paid the UPS and charged AX. It went through. I crossed my fingers that on Monday morning the order would still be treated as valid. Lo and behold it was and they took the extra step of honoring my request to ship from a more local warehouse. I got my products in two days as they claimed the shipper delayed by a day. So, I guess we have a case of poor inconsistant management combined with less than stellar customer service as opposed to a ripoff. They could have honored the original price when this whole thing started, but instead claimed the price had gone up. I will never figure out why they took the approach they did, but I did want to be sure my experience was correctly reported here because I understand reports cannot be deleted once submitted. I would still feel that one should only use a credit card and not PayPal when dealing with this company.
