I placed a web order with this company and something in the way the basket was being processed screwed it up. I tried to contact the company multiple times with no response for almost 6 days. Then it took multiple emails to not get the issue resolved. This company displayed no concern for the customer what-so-ever or honoring the pricing of my original order. I would not recommend anyone buying from them without a written confirmation in advance of all elements of the potential order before actually paying them.

Additonally, I would NEVER use PayPal with this company as a payment mechanism, because you will not have the same strengths in a dispute as you would by using your credit card directly with them. If you find you need to file a dispute with PayPal's process, your ability to collect is limited to their ability to collect according to the fine print in their user agreement. If you use a credit card via PayPal and you subsequently need to go to your credit card company, then you will chance losing your PayPal account. So, be safe and use a credit card only once you have complete written confirmation in advance of your actual order if you are doing business with Garrett's.

FINALLY WAS ABLE TO ORDER AT ORIGINAL PRICE

The following weekend after my prior experience, I did another web search for the product I was looking for using The Find and it again came up with Garrett's, and it showed the original price I had seen. I quickly followed the link to their site and ordered 5 of the units. I paid the UPS and charged AX. It went through. I crossed my fingers that on Monday morning the order would still be treated as valid. Lo and behold it was and they took the extra step of honoring my request to ship from a more local warehouse. I got my products in two days as they claimed the shipper delayed by a day. So, I guess we have a case of poor inconsistant management combined with less than stellar customer service as opposed to a ripoff. They could have honored the original price when this whole thing started, but instead claimed the price had gone up. I will never figure out why they took the approach they did, but I did want to be sure my experience was correctly reported here because I understand reports cannot be deleted once submitted. I would still feel that one should only use a credit card and not PayPal when dealing with this company.
