I've been working with Geek Choice since January and everything was fine until March. In March they lost people in the office (for reasons they won't talk about) and suddenly I wasn't getting paid. I submitted email after email to Matthew Mackey, the manager, and was told all kinds of platitudes and lies about how I would be paid the next coming Friday. A month later they still haven't paid.
When I was hired we quickly were discussing moving me out to Boston. They wanted me to come out for 30 days as a trial run and go from there. At first they were talking about paying my first month's rent and I would handle all other expenses. When it came down to it they backed off that line of discussion and claimed they would only help me find a place, not pay for my trial in Boston. Joe claimed it was a miscommunication, but that was a lie.
So far everything they've told me has been a lie, even when he claimed this past Friday that I would be paid in full. Don't do business with them and if you want to be paid then don't work for them!
