Gentle Moving SCAM ARTISTS, DONT HIRE THEM FOR ANY REASON, YOU WILL GET CHEATED Brooklyn New York Internet
This company is a scam, do not use them under any circumstances. They will cheat you and you may not get your stuff.
I hired them for a cross-country move in June 2007. When they arrived, they seemed normal until all the stuff was on the truck when they proceeded to ask me for 3 times the amount that was estimated (They wanted $3300 when they estimated $1200 for a 1 bedroom move). They claimed I had to pay for a second row on the truck because I had a few extra boxes, mostly because they packed it poorly. They threatened to leave all my stuff on the street if I didn't pay the money.
When I tried to argue with the sales rep, I could only get through to the manager, a horrible foreign man using the alias Mike. He was nasty and threatened to not deliver my stuff. I had to agree to pay because they had all my belongings. When they arrived, the boxes were smashed in like they had been driven over. I don't know what they did with them, but they looked trashed.
Not to mention, when I was able to measure the goods when they arrived, I found out they lied about the cubic footage on the truck and one row was not even close to 375 cf.
This company is a scam to the core...here's more...
They do not have a business license in Brooklyn, I checked with the county clerks office. Their address is not registered either.
The DOT numbers check out, but they dont have working addresses for a company that they licensed.
AMSA also doesn't have a mailing address for them and when you call the company no one will give you their address.
They should be registered in every state because they are licensed to cross borders by the DOT, but they cannot be found as a corporation in CA.
They are purposely being illusive about all these things because it makes it impossible for consumers to take any recourse and because they have a lot to hide...shady, shady, shady. Do NOT trust them with your stuff.
That said, if you get scammed by them, you will have no form of recourse because you cannot find them and you need their official information to file a lawsuit or send them a claim...
If you have any more information that will help expose this company, please share. The more info that is out there the more vulnerable they are and the more people we can help not get scammed. Real names, addresses, stories, claims, etc. Everything helps. Please share!
