I am sorry you had such a horrible experience. Please know that if you're not with Gexa anymore, it is possible that they may not be able to authorize a disconnect unless your current retail provider also agrees. Look into it and check with whoever your current provider is. I strongly suspect that Gexa's "disconnect" notices now might be empty threats. I also had a horrible experience with Gexa, as a result of their aggressive price increases this past year. But the contract says they can, right? So we were suckers, right, nothing we can do, right? No. I figured something out. They messed up--got a bit too greedy. I'm not only an affected customer. I'm also a lawyer. They might be liable in a statewide class action. Please contact me if you have any interest in getting involved--especially in you know of others who signed up for variable-rate plans back a few years ago. [email protected]

having a new baby means your home all the time thus using a lot more electric...also if your new in your house talk to the neighbors of a like kind to get a feel for their bills....if you have been in the house a couple of seasons you should of had a feel for what the bill should be............however this can vary if gas sky rockets and your not lockin to a rate ( a great reason to do so ) the fact is...being an adult comes with a set of skil sets that one needs in life and you have not yet acquired your energy bill skill set management one yet....yes i know all that you have to learn takes years but a little less i pod and a little more study about those skil sets wil get you there ahead of the pack...as we all have to get through it fact is you have been living on their dime and now have to pay and the onus is on you not them btw........babies are expensive and 3k is nothing compared to whata ahead so find the skills fast.............or you wil be writing a lot of these
