I went to this place as they accepted my insurance. I had my eye exam, which was supposed to be a contact exam as well as a glasses exam.

I was told I have an astigmatism and that my contacts would have to be special ordered and "custom made" to fit my eye. Not having worn contacts in 15 years and no experience with disposable contacts I believed this.

They never gave me a price, ordered the contacts on their own, billed every stitch of my insurance and then charged me $150 for them on top of it. The contacts they ordered were only a years supply and my insurance can only be billed every two years.

I was to have my contacts in a week, due to the fact that they had to be "custom made". Six weeks later and after numerous calls never getting a response past "Let me check on that" or just no call back at all; they finally came in.

I picked them up on the day my husband and I were on our way to Reno to get married. I was excited that I wasn't going to have to wear glasses. I put the contact lenses in and couldn't see out of them. They were completely off. I had to put my glasses on over them to see. I wasn't going to let it ruin my wedding day. I took those out thinking maybe it was just the one pair messed up and opened another pair. The edges were tattered and torn inside the package! I decided I wasn't going to let this ruin my wedding day.

When I got back, I left numerous messages for the elusive business manager that never returned my phone calls. Then the building they are located in burned. I went to myself "Ok, I can cut them a little slack". I called and got their answering machine, guarenteeing me a call back. After my 10th message, I finally got a call back. I was told that I would get my glasses, not contacts, perscription sent to Wal-Mart so I could get glasses instead since my contacts were not working. When I got the call back that the perscription had been faxed to Wal-Mart, I went to the store and found out that they had only sent the contact perscription. I called back again another 10 times and got a call back telling me that I had only received a contact exam even though I had paid for an exam for both glasses and contacts.

I ended up opening all the contact packages and three pairs were ratty on the edges and torn coming out and having never been worn. I went back to wearing my old glasses as due to the excuse of the fire, you could never reach anyone for 6 months.

I have since went to Wal-Mart here in Medford on Crater Lake Highway. I not only got both contact and glasses exam, I also got a pair of glasses with protective coating and transition lenses in 3 days AND contacts for less than what Glasses to Go charged me and much better service. Here is the thing that blew me away. When I was done with the exam, the doctor took me into the contact fitting room and gave me not one, but 2 different types of contacts that I could wear with an offer of 2 other brands making 4 brands that I could have left the store with right off the shelf including colored ones; which I was told by Glasses to Go employees I couldn't get because of my astigmatism. Custom made my rear end! Glasses to Go is nothing but a group of liars and avoid them like crazy! They didn't once offer to make this right and charged me over $450 total for a bunch of junk.
