Wow! Was I taken!  This company is good at fooling you.  They offer a travel package that allows you to go to many different countries and stay at discounted rates in different time shares.  The sales people are relentless, they make promises to you that are completely untrue.

Do Not Be Fooled by the name or addresses, they have multiple names and you can read terrible reviews on one, but the other has an A+ rating on BBB.  When I found bad reviews on them I brought it to the sales persons attention, and he said it was just another company with a similar name- I cant believe I was fooled.

 

First lie - you can cancel anytime!  I was told numerous times that we could cancel at any time, come to find out the "so called" credit company, which by the way goes by the same name, is supposedly seperate and they pay 90% of the debt at the time you sign up, then you pay them at 20% +++ interest.  

Next lie - you will get discounted airline travel- I have found every flight at substantially lower prices online. I think they just search a regular website and give you the first one they find.

This is a lot of money and the service is terrible, the product is a hoax and YOU CANNOT CANCEL!  

 

They are in denver under the name Global Connections and the n in Kansas as Global Travel Network.

If there are others that got taken by this company, and you want to get together in a lawsuit against them PLEASE contact me!  I am more than willing to split the legal fees to take this company down! I would love to make it to where they cannot take advantage of anyone else!

Dear Travelers,

  I purchased a 5 star package from Global and LOVE it!  They never once said anything about discount airfare during their sales pitch.  In fact, I am an airline retiree and I commented to my husband that for most people, it would cost more due to the air-fare, but that for us it's perfect since we can fly for free for life!

  They also never said anything about cancelling at any time.  They did say that if you don't use it during any specific year, you don't have to pay the "maintenance fee".  We did in fact test this.  Last year we didn't think we were going to travel, so we didn't pay the annual fee.  We got 1 single letter stating that our fee was due. We didn't pay and didn't hear another word.  We did end up travelling later in the year and just as they said, the fee was added to our first trip.

  I never felt like they were trying to deceive or trick us.  In fact, we went to Puerta Vallarta once (which is the epi-center of time-share and travel club scams) and we talked to numerous people (including travel sales people) and they couldn't believe the great deal we got with Global.

 My only complaint is that the destination selection is not as "worldly" as I would like.  We tried to book a week in St Thomas (where our son lives), only to discover it was not an option.  Nor is Asia, South America and many other places.  I haven't submitted an actual request for Asia or South America to see if they can find a place there for us, but I was told no on St Thomas.

  Regardless, I am extremely happy with Global Travel.  The condos are awesome, the support is friendly and helpful.  I have never had difficulty reaching them and they do a follow up phone call after each trip to make sure everything went well.  They truly do seem to want to ensure their clients have great experiences.  I would hate to see the incorrect comments of one person (who obviously heard what she wanted to hear and not what they said) prevent another person from joining this great club.  It is wonderful!

I’m sorry that your experience with Global Travel Network was so poor. We have thousands of happy customers, but your interaction with us was clearly negative. We have read your report with an open mind, always looking and working to make our service better.

Like you, we don’t want anyone having a negative experience. We are constantly improving our people and our processes, and I’m happy to clarify and hopefully resolve some concerns:

- Our salespeople indeed take a direct approach, but we do not intend to sell services to those who don’t want them or won’t truly benefit. We want our team to market the service with energy, otherwise prospective clients won’t know about the perks and advantages, and therefore not consider buying something that they end up loving, which is the case for the overwhelming majority of our customers.

- We have never changed the name of our company; unfortunately some of our competitors have taken on similar titles in order to mimic our service. Our suppliers and packages also use the word ‘Global’ in their name as well, but this is done intentionally to stay on-brand and provide a unified service to our clients.

- We work so, so hard to be accurate and clear in our communications. The team here trains and retrains to be precise in our wording, not so we can trick clients but rather so clients don’t feel tricked or manipulated in any way. We do see that you walked away feeling deceived,...I assure you that is not what we’re about.

I know you’re frustrated, and I hear where you're coming from. You spent money on our service, so I personally would love to help in any way I can to get the package you bought working for you.
