In April my husband received a letter in the mail from a Carla Streetman , Guest Services Manager. with the opening line of

" Dear Mr. Purea, I am pleased to Inform you that you have qualified for an award of (2) Round-trip airline tickets. These are tickets are valid for travel anywhere within the continental United States departing for any major international airport."

My Husband then called the number listed to find out the details and it was explained to him that he needed to attend a seminar in order to obtain the reward. Ok no problem we thought. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly smiles and what seemed like genuinely nice people. We sat through the whole spiel about how we could save anywhere from 30% - 50% off our bookings through them, with Promises of closer to 50% being the norm. We indicated the $13,900 package was WAY more that we wanted to spend.

They kept reducing the price in order to get us to sign... until they got it down to $3,900. WE left there feeling like we Might have actually got a good deal... until we went to use the reward that was promised, as well as additional travel options for hotel/car rental through GCI. Which I found the itinerary I was looking for 50% less then GCI could offer. I Saved Over $500.00 off what GCI offered.

The promotions company hired by GCI has done everything in their power to resist and fail to comply with the promises offered. They have decided the destination we asked for ( las vegas) is a year round peak time and therefore invalidates the reward and makes it a "Discounted trip" now... which was only discounted $2.60 from what I could book it for myself. I was also told that Traveling on the weekend invalidates the reward...

their weekends, I am told is Thursday through Sunday. I contacted GCI to assist with this and was told they couldn't assist and would have to forget the reward. Only thing that was offered with I spoke with Marty was to reduce the flight cost by $100.00 and then dismissed. GCI seems to have no remorse or care that the company they chose to represent them is refusing to fulfill the promise of reward as set forth in the letter mailed. Due to this debacle Our 20 year anniversary trip is NOW RUINED.

I want my contract with GCI cancelled and refunded due to the promises made about discounts not being true and filled with empty promises. I want them to fulfill the promise of the flights that was promised. We booked room, car, & Shows based on the promise that our trip was a go and are now out the costs of those expenses due to the failure to comply with the promised offered. I want what was promised and if not I want our contract canceled and fully refunded ASAP!
