Please let me know if you learn of any ongoing claims or lawsuits against GMAC that I could participate in. They have probably deprived me of who knows how many loan opportunities. Thanks, Alex

I am not a lawyer, but I do work with leases. It would stand to reason that a lease would be handled differently under bankruptcy... The "lease" obligation would be discharged, but what about the fixed purchase price? If you didn't return the car, they may be able to come after you for the fixed purchase price of the vehicle. The "lease" obligation and the "end of lease" obligations are two completely different things. I would suggest asking the lawyer about that. GOOD LUCK!
