Keith Genovese and his foreman came to my house on the morning of May 2, 2012 to survey my property and listen to any ideas I had about how to clean up and then landscape my very small yard.
Later that evening, the two returned and Keith was all hyped up about his ideas. He was so emphatic that I actually warned him to calm down in fear he'd have a heart attack.
They sold me on a $6,000 job and required that I pay $2,000 up front, another $2,000 on the day they started working (which was scheduled to be May 14, 2012) and the final amount due was going to be done in trade (in the form of a website for his company since that is what I do professionally).
Before leaving, Keith gave me a song and dance about how he'd left his wallet at the Cheesequake rest area and asked if he could borrow $5 for the tolls. I graciously took $5 out of my wallet and they went on their way... never to be seen again.
Approximately 7 days after May 14th, the foreman left me a message that Keith had been hospitalized and that he expected to begin working a few days later. Needless to say, that day never came.
It's come to my attention that not only is Genovese not his birth surname, but that he's filled for bankruptcy since changing his name and already has 66 other injunctions filed against him (some in amounts with 6 figures).
