Update: After reading the majority of the reports for Greely Hall Cafeteria, and working there myself, I have to say they were all true. There are roaches, the prices are outrageous, the employees are treated horribly, the costumers are lied to and treated rudely, and the food is gross. And all of this can be stopped by doing one simple thing: fire Connie. She is the source to 99.9% of the problems.
When she goes out to the dining area and talks to the costumers she says, "hello lovely!", or "Hello handsome!", but when she returns to the kitchen, she grumbles and complains about, "how dumb they are" or how "they never make any sense".
Instead of reporting the roaches to the proper athorities, she will put sticky pads under things and tell the employees to, "not say anything about them to Colleen or Mike". If she finds a dead one in the food, or is told about such an occurance, she will pick it out and, either serve it herself, or tell one of the employees to serve it. When an employee argues or says its gross, Connie will then continue to yell and b***h at the employee for not listening and how she should fire them for not obeying. Then she will go around for 20 to 30 minutes telling everyone how that one employee doesn't listen or follow directions. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and rude. I have, on several occasions, seen Connie Shafer cause an employee to cry for 30 minutes because of something totally rediculous.
The prices of items sold there are constantly changing, due to Connie's penny pinching insanity! She will refuse to let anyone throw the mojority of spoiled or rotten food out, and instead have it given to the grill, or to the employee that makes sandwichs, pizza, and fruit. If the peaches in the salad bar have spoiled, Connie will have them put in with the peaches and cottage chees that is served.its gross!
Connie Shafer is a horrible employee and supervisor and should be fired immediately. She is a rude, unprofessional, and will serve spoiled, disgusting food, just to save a dollar! Its not fair to the people that have to eat there, and certainly isn't fair to the employees that want to give, good, healthy food to the people they see almost everyday. You can clean the place up, but eventually it will go back exactly to the way it is, unless a better supervisor is hired or promoted. A supervisor that actually cares what people digest everyday.
