Green Rock Power, Inc. Green Rock Power in NYC advertises a deregulated energy employment scam New York, New York
I submitted my resume to Green Rock Power, Inc in NYC after seeing a job advertisement posted on Craigslist to work as an energy consultant. I spoke with a sale rep for the company and was then later hired by the company after speaking with the CEO of the company Edward Callaham. I signed an independent contractor agreement that stated I would be paid commissions on any energy deals by paying me a year's worth of advanced commissions from Green Rock Power.
The company promised that they would send me out on qualified pre-set appointments and meet with people that wanted to meet with an energy consultant. After about a week of going on so called "appointments" it turns out that these businesses were never contacted by anyone at their company. During that time, I was able to walk into two businesses and persuade them to switch their electricity supplier to another third party supplier - Liberty Power. I sent and faxed two contracts to the Green Rock Power office located in NYC and from then I never got a commission report nor payment from the company.
