If this posting can help you avoid heartache, frustration, and massive loss of time, this post will have served its purpose. I had problems right out of the gate. I was in the middle of a procedure in the dentist office when I was asked to pay for services about to be rendered. When I tendered my Care Credit card (excellent company-used it for years!), I was informed I would have to use Green Sky credit. There I am trying to fill out and read a lengthy complicated loan application on my mobile phone. I asked for $2500 in credit and was given $7000 credit.
1. When I got my first statement, I discovered I was being charged 23% interest, INTEREST ONLY for six months. When I called Green Sky, I was informed that this was the loan that the dentist office signed me up for. I told Green Sky the dentist was supposed to be paying the interest just like Care Credit. I was informed that I needed to pay off the card in full or have the dentist refund all the money to Green Sky and I would need to make a new loan application. UNBELIEVABLE!
2. I signed up for online access to my statements, where I was able to view and reconcile my June and July credit card statements. When it came time to reconcile my August statement, I was unable to log in due to "invalid password". I called technical support and was informed I needed to assign a new password to the account. I later learned that my original password was rendered invalid due to website maintenance by Green Sky. UNBELIEVABLE!
3. When I tried to get back into my account online, the Green Sky website informed me it had no record of my email address, yet I was receiving emails from Green Sky. It took nearly 30 days for me to be able to get back online. When I finally got back online, my August and September statements were not visible. Just my June and July statements were visible. When I called tech support, I was informed that I would not be able to view my August and September statements online because I had gone paperless! I could see my June and July statements on line because I was not paperless at that time. I told the Green Sky representative that I had never heard of such a thing, that the whole purpose of going paperless was to be able to view and reconcile statements online. I was informed that that was not the way the Green Sky system worked. I was told that in order to view all my statements online I would have to resubscribe to paper statements by mail, and then I would be able to view my statements online! UNBELIEVABLE!
4. I asked how I was going to get my August and September statements. I was informed my September statement would be sent to me via regular mail, but I would not be able to get my August statement. I asked "why"? I was informed that that was the way their system worked. The date of this writing is September 9. My statements cycle on the 6th of each month. By asking for the August statement, I was only asking for a statement that was 1 month and 3 days old, and I was being informed I could not get a copy of it. UNBELIEVABLE!
You are probably thinking that I am exaggerating or even making some of this up. I assure you this is not the case. I have reported all facts accurately. I have a recording of the conversation for item #4 above. I intend to report Green Sky to the state banking commission for failure to provide me with my August statement.
Like other posters, it took almost 10 days to post one of my electronic payments.
My advice: save yourself hours of heartache, frustration, and wasted time. STAY AWAY FROM GREEN SKY!
