Weve been giving my dog a Greenies joint care treat once a month now for about 3 monthes. She has had no change in diet or anything different. She started having diarrhea foe 3 days then it turned bloody. The vet 1st said stress, i responded with this dog has "The life of a fat and lazy cat house", but Ok well try it. Went back 2 days later still bloody diarrhea, still not eating or drinking and i am now having to put an iv in her to pump her full of fluids to keep her hydrated.
I was stumped until my aunt told me about her friends dog that died from greenies, her intestines were clogged and they could not keep her hydrated and ended up dying due to blockage and dehydration after trying for weeks to keep her alive.
I have read all i need to know now on various sites (Consumer Reports, etc.)to know without a doubt this is what is killing my dog! Vet is meeting me in the AM to get XRays and confirm,but i know these treats have caused her intestines to be blocked and is steadly killing her painfully. I hope word gets out about these treats very fast and im stunned they havent yet!!!! If my dog dies from this Im going to need a GOOD LAWYER!
