GSI Services scammed money from my account ripoff Nationwide
A rep from GSI named John Fields who had an extrememly thick accent, called me at my office of work claiming I was approved for a grant November 4 2005. I had just been looking for scholarships and grants for my schooling which made his pitch seem very legitimate.
So I fell for it and gave this person my account information. They were to deduct $298 for "processing fees" on November 30 2005. Which was fine, since they were an "agency" so they had to make their money somehow. So that date came and went. They were to have been sending me my information and some paper to be signed.
Needless to say, they never arrived.
I tried calling several times, with nothing in return but a recording and dead air. Then they contacted me again to "confirm" my account information to deposit my $6000. Then the following day, 49.95 and 19.99 more dollars were taken out my account by GSI.
I have filed an affitdavit with my bank who is investigating this, and also with the state police. If anyone else has been scammed by these people please speak up and file reports. It is the only way to stop them!
