My son blew the engine in his car on the way back to base. He is currently a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton CA. He left it here, at home in Las Vegas, to be repaired. I found Guaranteed Auto on a website (merchantcircle.com) where I read 3 good reviews and contacted Marlon Gomez about fixing his car.

After coming to look at it, they agreed to fix it for $2800, which would include rebuilding the engine, all parts, labor, the radiator and would tow it for free. My son made payment arangements because as per thier wesite, they "finance". The agreement was 1/2 of the money up front and the balance over 2 months once the repairs were complete. They picked up the car around the 8th of Nov. The work was to be finished the week of Thanksgiving.

My son took special leave from base to pick up his car on Thanksgiving day. When he called, he was told that his car was not ready and to call back the next day. He was told that again on Friday. On Saturday he was told that his engine was damaged beyond repair due to problems with the fuel injectors and now they were going to have to completely replace his engine. In fact, they were now going to be "out money" because it was going to cost them far more money to fix his car than they were charging him. Now, his car would be ready the following Tues 12/2/08.

I called that Tues to arrange for pick up. Low and behold, the car was still not done. The "new" engine had problems and wouldnt be ready until saturday. Saturday rolled around and guess what? Still no no car, no engine, nothing but excuses.

On 12/9/08 I called again to arrange pick up and again was told that the "new" engine was not in, not working and that again would not be ready until saturday. This time, when saturday came, my nephew and I went down to Guaranteed Auto to see what was going on. I saw my son's motor, inspected it and found that in fact it could have been fixed. The "new" motor supposedly purchased for my son's car was not there. It was at the machine shop being repaired because it had a bent valve stem. Not something a new motor has.

AGAIN... the car was to be ready TUESDAY.... and its not. My son has paid them money and has received nothing but the run around. No car, no motor, nothing but lies. Now, he is still out a car and out the money he has paid them until we can take them to court and sue them for it.

Thier website states they want you to be "100% guaranteed". I ask.. Guaranteed what???
