I have been employed by Hallum Stores for over 27 years and in that time, no one from this company has ever tried to complain to a government agency about competitive gas prices.
First of all, it is illegal and is referred to as "price fixing" or "gouging". Secondly, there is no such entity, agency or individual called the "fuel commissioner". And lastly, even if there were some agency to complain to (which there is not) no government agency has the authority to enforce any type of pricing strategy or be involved in retail pricing.
Competition is what makes the business world and the economy survive and forces all businesses to strive to gain a customer base. Hallum Stores welcomes all competition, because we know that we offer quality prodcuts at competitive prices, not to mention all our facilities provide the cleanest rest rooms and the greatest customer service.
The individual making this claim obviously had some axe to grind and was therefore talking about something with which they had no personal knowledge or experience.
