Breeder guarantees AKC paper work. WRONG!
July 24 th 2009 - I viewed and purchased an 8wk old female German Shepherd puppy. I had inquired about AKC paper work and was advised that the papers were there. I picked her up 26 July 2009 and signed a contract stating: Section 2, Seller warrants that it has full legal title to the dog and has right to sell the dog. Section 4, Seller warrants dog is a purebred German shepherd dog and is capable of being registered with the American Kennel Club. An AKC Dog Application shall be given to the buyer. When I inquired of the papers I was told by the Owner, Megan Judge a week maybe two but the papers were en route from Ohio where the Dame is.
I have called ,continuously once or twice a week and emails several times a week. I have been told by a "helper", a month ago, that the male is an Import and that they (Haus Juris) are waiting on the paperwork. my Girl, puppy, is now 7mth going on 8 mths. I spent hundreds of dollars for training and vet fees and cant get a straight answer from the Breeder. Even with a PAPERWORK/CONTRACT.... she is very rude, dishonest and very hard to get a hold of.
the Breeder has bred this MALE, ORUS, several times since my puppy was born. and other buyers haven't received their paper work. I cant register my puppy, cant compete and I paid an extra 100.00 for rush on the papers. totaling 2700.00 (no, not a typo) I have imported dogs and bred GSD and paperwork doesn't take this long. DONT BUY.. DOnt get attached if paper work is important. SEE THE PAPERS BEFORE YOU LOOK AT PUPPIES. I don't conduct business like this.

Glad you got a decent dog from Haus Juris. Many haven't. There seems to be a prevailing view that if many dogs are fine it is okay to sweep the ones that aren't under the rug. WRONG. Too many people have suffered to just ignore. A shepherd is a family member which makes it even more difficult to take.

if she's being deceptive about having registration on hand, that makes her a bad businesswoman. When the breeder got this pup(before it was sold to the poster) she should have already had the papers anyways from the Dam's owner. What her dogs have earned has nothing to do with her business practices, unless she was lying about those titles to garner a higher price tag.
My advice - if you haven't already contact AKC and make sure the litter was actually registered in the first place.

I read this report prior to buying a dog from Haus Juris so I asked Megan Judge the breeder about it. It seems she had recently purchased Orus, which by the way is a gorgeous male, and her papers hadn't come from the German breeder. If you ask anyone in the German bred German Shepherd business the dog will arrive at your kennel long before the papers do. Megan Judge and Haus Juris German Shepherds is an excellent breeder and her dogs are awesome. If you don't believe me look at all of her happy dog owners on her facebook wall. Plus many of her dogs are Schutzhund2 or better, are Sieger champions, some are therapy dogs, some are police K9's and many are great and loving house pets.
Want a great German Shepherd? Call Haus Juris we did and our 7 month old is the best we have ever had and he's our 4th GSD.
