Dacula,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

It is true, HealthPort treats employees horribly. Even sadder, they dont care. If I questioned a medical records request they would shrug and say send the medical records wherever the rep says, even though it is clear the rep made a mistake. These are medical records! A persons well being depends of the accurate receipt of records! I was never told thank you in my many years with them. Every meeting was about how idiotic we were and never about how we could improve. Taking time off was either impossible or a hassle. Overtime was a minimum of 10 hrs a week, mandatory. Time keeping was unfair and sloppy. Anything important in your life happens during cut off week (every other week), ex. graduations, weddings, funerals, doctors appointments, family emergencies, too bad! If 2 people request off a day you need, too bad youre working. The place is filthy. Carpets are stained, chairs are stained, uncomfortable, and damaged. They dont provide tools to help employees (wrist rests, adequate training, appropriate chairs, good keyboards & monitors, time off). Ergonomics is unknown to them. The restrooms are never cleaned properly so they smell constantly. When they run out of soap, tough! I brought my own. HealthPort needs to be reported for their poor and filthy work environment. They should not be allowed to be in the release of information business, because they dont care about employees. If they disrespect employees, how can they respect patients and other customers? Plus, how can they expect mistreated and overworked employees to do a good job? HealthPort will never touch any of my medical records!

I also work for Healthport.have been there for quite some time.very unprofessional atmosphere, reverse discrimination, American sweatshop at it's best! Have been denied time off over and over again, even though I have vacation time. I have called in sick when I need time off, but down to 3 day left (since we only get 5 days a year). I have vacation time, but don't know when I'll be allowed to use it !! I see others out on vacation all of the time, but they are the supervisors favorite . this company braggs on itself as being equal opportunity, but are anything but 'equal'.
Question, have you reported any of this to the CEO ? and if so, any response from him? Just curious? If you feel you were discriminated against because you are a gay male (or female) , or your religious beliefs, you need to go beyond the CEO attention and directly to the state labor department !!!
