I have worked for this company for almost 2 years.  Coming in the door during the interview
I was told how I would be able to apply for other internal positions, after a year, about there time off policies etc. My first sign of this companies cruelty to employees was when My daughter had a H.S. graduation. The supervisor denied my request and said that it wasnt that serious and that I could come in right after the cerimony.??? Eventhough I had family members in and planned events etc. I took this to HR, and also told them about how I was threatened with a write up if I didnt show up.???  The H.R. had all the info in her face and still didnt do a d**n thing.

I soon applied for a first shift position only to be called in the office and denied by a supervisor saying I had a lateness issue, eventhough I never had any documented warnings or write ups for being late. NEVER.... These people dont even have a time clock or a sign in clock. They just think they can watch everyone walk in and keep up.??:?? lol   I told him I needed to see my latenesses because I was rarely late. The supervisor had his cigarette boy write up all of these pheloneous times and dates with a pencil nothing on record that I couldnt recall.  Now I could see from them that it was a plot to get rid of me.

From then I arrived early and occasionally walked past the spvsr office so he could see me come in. lol  I also approached HR once again to let them know that I was denied a move to first shift and that I had no records of being late or write ups. >>> She did nothing again, and said yes Claude showed me your latenesses and its an issue. ??? Showed you what a write up for nothing. With no written times or signed in times from my computer just something they made up.  How can you write someone up for something after a request for shift change and deny them before they get the write up.????? I got my write up 2 weeks after I did a request to change shifts.

Now not to mention this office is real dirty old carpet chairs that are old and uncomfortable. During winter time We had a FLU breakout in HEALTHport. lol HEALTH  all these germs were getting around and it was rarely anyone working half of the shift would be out sick. When I took off I had my doctors note and they fired me saying they couldnt get intouch with my doctor to verify.  They never even checked anyone else b4 there breakout. I came to work sick and worked on weekends sick while most people were out. I rarely called out if it wasnt important.

I honestly think the supervisor was angry with me due to me speaking out about my faith, and homosexuality. Now I am unable to get unemployment, it is hard on my resume to use another employer because I have been with them for the last 2 years. ??? And they fired me 2 days before Christmas. wow. H*LLPORT Now I am working at there competitor DHR and it is much more professional.

It is true, HealthPort treats employees horribly

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

It is true, HealthPort treats employees horribly. Even sadder, they dont care. If I questioned a medical records request they would shrug and say send the medical records wherever the rep says, even though it is clear the rep made a mistake. These are medical records! A persons well being depends of the accurate receipt of records!  I was never told thank you in my many years with them.  Every meeting was about how idiotic we were and never about how we could improve. Taking time off was either impossible or a hassle. Overtime was a minimum of 10 hrs a week, mandatory. Time keeping was unfair and sloppy. Anything important in your life happens during cut off week (every other week), ex. graduations, weddings, funerals, doctors appointments, family emergencies, too bad! If 2 people request off a day you need, too bad youre working. The place is filthy. Carpets are stained, chairs are stained, uncomfortable, and damaged. They dont provide tools to help employees (wrist rests, adequate training, appropriate chairs, good keyboards & monitors, time off). Ergonomics is unknown to them. The restrooms are never cleaned properly so they smell constantly. When they run out of soap, tough! I brought my own. HealthPort needs to be reported for their poor and filthy work environment. They should not be allowed to be in the release of information business, because they dont care about employees. If they disrespect employees, how can they respect patients and other customers? Plus, how can they expect mistreated and overworked employees to do a good job? HealthPort will never touch any of my medical records!

I also work for Healthport.have been there for quite some time.very unprofessional atmosphere, reverse discrimination, American sweatshop at it's best! Have been denied time off over and over again, even though I have vacation time. I have called in sick when I need time off, but down to 3 day left (since we only get 5 days a year).  I have vacation time, but don't know when I'll be allowed to use it !! I see others out on vacation all of the time, but they are the supervisors favorite . this company braggs on itself as being equal opportunity, but are anything but 'equal'.
Question, have you reported any of this to the CEO ? and if so, any response from him? Just curious? If you feel you were discriminated against because you are a gay male (or female) , or your religious beliefs, you need to go beyond the CEO attention and directly to the state labor department !!!
