Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I would like to bring your attention to a complaint I have about the staff attitude/knowledge at your department store, located at Hecht's

8270 Sudley Road Manassas,Virginia 20109. I hope you are able to resolve this situation. Specifically, I'm writing about rude/unhelpful staff I encountered.

Hello this is an open letter to the Company (May,"Hecht's")

Are your employee's inequitable and discriminatory

(anti or against Federal workers in uniform?)

I was at the Manassas Store (8270 Sudley Road Manassas,

Virginia 20109 (703-368-7131)

In which Mr Michael A.Hummer Div. of sales Manager

at Ext. 499) On Nov. 28 2001.

I received there ad's flier for Wed.Nov.28

(3Days only )Extra 20% off bonus coupons.

Pages not marked but,on page (after 34 and before 35) insert Calphalon pans on sale.

I also ask for Circulon 5 Qt. Colander stockpot.

I was 10 min.'s in to looking with Ms.Munc Hussein.

When Ms.Bvende Pamplin (Rudely intrepid Ms.Hussein

and I looking for the Caphalon 10" omelet pan.)

Ms. Hussein stopped helping me to run a register (3.99 idem)for Ms. Pamplin.

I do believe they look down on a man in uniform attire,

(as I was in uniform) I work for DoD.,OSD.(Department of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defenses.)at the Pentagon.

Ms.hussein could not find the 10" Calphalon pans that were on sale.I ask for a rain check. She said ok. I paid for the Circulon 5 Qt.Colander stockpot. But she did not give me a rain check so I said I like one and on a SCRAP piece of paper I put my name (in protest)and

Number,I ask why there was no forms and this paper can EASILY get missed placed.(Just like the form can too.It has happen before at Hecht's) Not liking the Scrap paper I ask for the office, I had gone there to see the

Management.When getting there I ask Ms.Mzl Cheatham

for the store management (manager) she want me to go back to Ms.Hussein in which I was not going to do we all ready established she does not have the rain check form.Ms.Cheatham then asked (as to be irresponsible to me if I was in the boy scouts.(As if that's a bad thing)

I quickly informed her (Ms.Cheatham I work for OSD).

Thats when she should (and had the opportunity to)

apologized and be apologetic, but no she waited till all

the new employee's,Ms.Pamplin,Mr.Hummer and Ms.Hussein

left to say a word.

Well the next person I see was Ms. Bvende Pamplin.

In which she was the problem with rudely interrupting

Ms.hussein and I at the register. She informed me the

Manager was not available and she was the secretary of

the manager. This is where the manager came into the

room and said he was not on the clock( not here yet)

even thou I observed him leaving the office area when I

was going to the office.I ask for his business card

(in which he gave me Mr.Michael A. Hummer card)

and he copied down the person/person's name of all

involved.(It was what I ask for.)

Please note that I was sold the pans that they (DID NOT HAVE)did have,(Calphalon) and Ms.Hussein was thinking they were all the same she was looking for Circulon pan's area only.(I did give her the ad to read. Thinking she could read English.)I was sold one pan at 50% off and some chocolate (from Ms.Pamplin)

despite the fact that store manager should do what was

right. I never had seen the store manager /(again).

R/S Harlan W

Here's what I'd like to see happen:Have a meeting with all party's and my self (in the one morning)Make good by some condiderasion for my time spent telling whays wrong with your stor and STOP Chauvinistic,Prejudiced ways I would definitely think twice before spending money at your store again.

Up-Date there (May Company)letter back to me.

That just like I said what I received but, It's the way it was done that I disagree with. Very nice of you to notice no change in store policy and no accountability of there actions. I did ask for the store MANAGEMENT AS in "MANAGER" and HE/ SHE did not step forward and you said it"I have learned that Ms. Pamplin, executive secretary to the store" well you do not read
very well. She the one that came over and was rude the first (person) time. O and you answer is to let them solve it. let me just post that on the net. Then and let the people decide.

You are saying what's offer is an excuse to bad manners, I said this in the letter to you in the first place (So rudeness is ok) and efficiency (No I had to go to the office and make
a complain that's still unheard even by you .I feel if they could and would not here me I write to the May group corporation office and I see that's just as useless)

(There again no Mr./ Ms. terry Simmons does not would not see me or call. By the way, the operator of a different person of whom the store manager is also gave me another name. I also explained this in the complaint here.

(No if you did you would comply with the request of mine to see Hecht's Arlington office with the Manassas group to clear this up.)

Do you really think this address the problem to give the person
that caused the actions of wrong to make an unbiased decision

update :Dear Mr.W:

Thank you for your e-mail to May Department Stores
regarding your visit to Hecht's Manassas store. Hecht's office of customer service is responding.

I am sincerely sorry to learn that the service you received did not meet your needs or expectations. In reviewing your e-mail with management at Manassas, I have learned at Ms. Pamplin, executive secretary to the store manager, helped you find
not at first she was the one person that rudly came up and feeling that she was first to show sale personnel that a customer is last unless she helping her self)the Calphalon omelette pans you were looking for.

I understand that you purchased one pan for a special sale price of $25 minus a 10% coupon discount (final price $22.50) and a second pan at a discount of 50% minus a 10% coupon discount for a final price of $11.25. I am happy to learn that, as an additional measure of good will, Ms.Pamplin offered to you a gift of Godiva chocolates.( You are saying what's offer is an excuse to bad manners, I said what the did give me in the letter
to you in the first place. So do not act as if you gave me any thing for my time.)

It is always Hecht's intent to serve our customers with courtesy (So rudeness is ok) and efficiency (No I had to go to the office and make a complain that's still unheard even by you. I feel if they could and would not here me. I write to the May group corporation office and I see that's just as useless)and I regret, as does Terry Simmons, general manager (There
again no Mr./ Ms. terry Simmons does not and would not see
me or call. By the way, the operator of a different person also gave me another name as whom the store manager is.why is this? I
also explained this in the complaint here.)at Hecht's, Manassas, that you feel this did not happen in your case.Hecht's appreciates you taking the time to let us know of your
concerns.(No if you did you would comply with the request of mine to see Hecht's Arlington office (Owner/Managment CEO)with the Manassas group to clear this up.)

By the way, the operator of a different person also gave me another name as whom the store manager is.why is this? I also explained this in the complaint here.) at Hecht's, Manassas, that you feel this did not happen in your case.Hecht's appreciates you taking the time to let us know of your concerns.(No if you did you would comply with the request of mine to see Hecht's Arlington office (Owner/Managment CEO)with the Manassas group to clear this up.)

Do you really think this address the problem to give the person

May Corp. Office letter to me.Very Pathetic and Unexcused

#100

Thu, December 06, 2001

That just like I said what I received but, It's the way it was done that I disagree with. Very nice of you to notice no change in store policy and no accountability of there actions. I did ask for the store MANAGEMENT AS in "MANAGER" and HE/ SHE did not step forward and you said it"I have learned that Ms. Pamplin, executive secretary to the store" well you do not read very well. She the one that came over and was rude the first (person) time. O and you answer is to let them solve it. let me just post that on the net. Then and let the people decide.

You are saying what's offer is an excuse to bad manners, I said this in the letter to you in the first place

(So rudeness is ok) and efficiency (No I had to go to the office and make a complain that's still unheard even by you .I feel if they could and would not here me I write to the May group corporation office and I see that's just as useless)
(There again no Mr./ Ms. terry Simmons does not would not see me or call. By the way, the operator of a different person of whom the store manager is also gave me another name. I also explained this in the complaint here. (No if you did you would comply with the request of mine to see Hecht's Arlington office with the Manassas group to clear this up.)

update :Dear Mr.W:

Thank you for your e-mail to May Department Stores regarding your visit to Hecht's
Manassas store. Hecht's office of customer service is responding.
I am sincerely sorry to learn that the service you received did not meet your needs or expectations. In reviewing your e-mail with management at Manassas, I have learned that Ms. Pamplin, executive secretary to the store manager, helped you find (not at first she was the one person that rudly came up and feeling that she was first to show sale personnel that a customer is last unless she helping her self)the Calphalon omelette pans you were looking for.
I understand that you purchased one pan for a special sale price of $25 minus a 10%
coupon discount (final price $22.50) and a second pan at a discount of 50% minus a 10%
coupon discount for a final price of $11.25. I am happy to learn that, as an additional
measure of good will, Ms.Pamplin offered to you a gift of Godiva chocolates.( You are saying what's offer is an excuse to bad manners, I said what the did give me in the letter to you in the first place. So do not act as if you gave me any thing for my time.)
It is always Hecht's intent to serve our customers with courtesy (So rudeness is ok) and
efficiency (No I had to go to the office and make a complain that's still unheard even by you.
I feel if they could and would not here me. I write to the May group corporation office and I
