I booked a rental car over thanksgiving and pre-paid for the rental. After returning the car in perfect condition my credit card was charged $300. I called the customer service hotline to seek a resolution. I was pushed off to sending an email. The representative on the phone claimed that she was unable to assist with billing issues and all such issues needed to be dealt with through their customer relations department over email. I questioned her and was repeatedly given the same answer. I went ahead and sent an email about three weeks ago now and I am still awaiting a response.

The actions and lack of action Hertz is taking is appalling. They have demonstrated a lack of professionalism and utter disregard for customer service that is unacceptable in all fields, let alone a worldwide company that portraits themselves as leaders in customer service.

I will share my negative experience with friends, family and business associates and never rent another car from Hertz or an of its affiliates ever again regardless of price.
