I bought a Touchsmart 3D desktop 18 months ago. It came with no hard drive in it at all. I had to send it back, 45 minute drive to the nearest Fed Ex. When it finally came back to me, almost a month later, it had a 2 TB hard drive in it when I had ordered, and paid for a 3TB hard drive. At first, HP tried to convince me that it has a 3 TB hard drive and I had to prove to them that it wasn't. Finally, they admitted it was a 2TB drive but could not find it in their computer to place a service order to have this corrected. After weeks of asking them to fix it, and they were telling me that they just don't have any 3TB hard drives and that they don't make them??? I must have called a dozen times and each time, someone would call me back with a solution but never did. Finally, I put the item in dispute with my credit card company. Suddenly a 3TB hard drive was shipped to me and I was told to install it myself and make sure to ship them back the 2TB hard drive right away or I would be charged for it. Thanks for the lousy service HP!
Fast forward to 31/2 weeks ago when my computer just stopped working, just dead, no screen, no nothing. It is still under warranty. I called HP and after almost 2 frustrating hours of me troubleshooting the problems, all with no success, they told me to ship it back to them at their cost. I dragged it to FedEx, 45 minutes away and shipped it to them. I have confirmation that HP recieved it. They told me it would be fixed right away and shipped back in 3-5 days. It has been over 3 weeks now and not a word from them. I call and get answers that could only have been straight from a script..."Your computer is recieving a full diagnostic and will be returned to you as soon as it is complete." Ummmm, thanks for the rehersed response.....when would that be and what is the delay? "sorry for the delay, it will be sent back to you as soon as possible." Everytime, I am told to call back in 24 hours.
This has been the worst customer service I can imagine ever recieving. I plan to tell everyone I know to NEVER buy any HP product. After all of this lousy service and lack of anwers, I still don't have my computer. But....you will be happy to know that in the middle of this problem, a HP rep, who could not tell me anything about my computer or when it would be returned to me....tried to sell me an extended warranty. REALLY???? You can't make this stuff up!
