In December of 2006, I bought a big screen tv from HH Gregg. I spent almost $2000.00 with them, also I bought an extended service contrat from them. I also used their credit card. Then in July of 2007 our home was broken into. When that happened our tv was stolen along with many other items. Because the system we used to record model and serial numbers was stolen we could not give that info to the police. Therefore we called HH Gregg and told them what had happened and wanted the get the model and serial number from them. The folks there told me they do not record that information, that is our responsibility. Funny I said I did record that info buy it was stolen with the other items. I asked them about the extended service contract if it had the info on it. They told me know. I asked the person on the phone, so you mean all I need is the same model of tv from our neighbor, turn it in to the extended service contract folks and I can get it repaired or replaced. They told me yes you can. This to me was totally unacceptable. They just did not care. So I got on line to get the telephone number for the home office and guess what, it is not there no contact info. To me HH Greg just does not care and I am still paying for a tv I do not have.

As far as the serial number with the extended warranties HHgreeg records the serial number on the first repair. Afteer that the serial number must match or the service plan is null an void. As far as hhgregg itself they are only concerned with making money. They used to service their own products but they have gone to a third party bercause they cant make money doing it. The reason I am a former employee is that I purchased a front load washer and dryier and had issues getting it fixed. I went to my boss and he told me that my issue was with the warrenty company. I said but I purchased the warranty from us. He said not his problem. So I decided to take my issues up the line and that must have been the company line. When I asked to speak to Jerry Thorgmartin, the owner, I was told I could not. He was to busy to handle warranty issues.
