High Tech Pet Products - High Tech Pet Store Knowingly selling petdoors that do not work since 2004; NO cust. support as promised; Ventura California
3/10/08 purchased electric pet door via internet. Installed it upon arrival, it worked for 2-3 hours then continually opened and closed. Contacted Cust support and was told to loosen screws around the door, "This always fixes this problem". No luck
As of 3/24/08 I have made 1 or 2 calls per day. Each time I am made a different promise; will mail &/or emaill you a shipping label; Just send it back, YOU pay the shipping fees and it will be repaired. The hole in your door? Well, you will have to board it up. We can refund your money, just respond to the email with the shipping label. (No email, even after providing 2 different accounts).
Once I made it through to "Liz" the forever receptionist....I requested to purchase another ac adapter (thinking this might get me better service). Her response was, "Oh, just go to our website and place your order. We willl get that right out to you". In other words, we have the ability to take your money VERY QUICKLY, but don't expect anything in return.
Emailed the pres. Nick Bonge--No response.
I trusted this company as PetSmart uses their product; also good reviews. After the experience I have had I found a web site that has these same complaints as far back as 2004! HOW can this be? I filed a report with the Better Buisiness Burea of Ventura, Ca. just today.
Total cost at this point: New door to install the pet door in; $200
