I hope your JAG officer tells you that in the event that you intentionally stop making payments, you WILL lose your house. You have the obligation to make every effort to remedy this problem, even though it's not your fault. It's just as wrong for you to pay nothing as it is for them to overcharge you. And I can tell you that once foreclosure proceedings have begun, you'll be fighting a 600 pound gorilla, and you'll be doing it by long distance like most people in the service. Don't go there, it isn't worth it. Even if you eventually "win", the house will likely be long gone.
