I had a nice stay at a homestead in Oregon so thought this one would be nice.

We got to hotel early no early checking in so we went shopping. We came back at 3pm and my friends room was ready but ours wasn't. The maid hadn't got to it. We left and got some coffee well come back at 4 pm room still not ready. The check-in worker asked maid "When room will be ready?" The maid replies "I don't know when I will be able to get to it." Then offers us "a smoker room." I explain "I am allergic to smoke and it makes my bronchitis flare up." We wait and it never becomes available. She tells us "I have another room available its non-smoking room." It's 5:30 I paid for the room on-line so we get it. I turn on the air and the room becomes stuffy as you can see it's the smoking room. I go to put the food I brought for the trip in microwave it won't cut on call the desk and they say repair man will come and look tommorow well no repair man. The remote doesn't work for tv and no spot on tv to change channel so stuck watching it. Well Monday comes and we call again then repair man comes and gives me a excuse about circuitry is why microwave doesn't work and press reset button because it overload system when on and to press reset again and you can microwave. The vending machines had stale snacks. If not for the range wouldn't of been able to heat up the food I brought. My friend turned on heat after shower smoke detector went off. The key to that room didn't work half the time so security had to help. That room was also stuffy.

I am sorry that the stay with the Homestead Suite did not go quite well. I think they might be very busy on the day you were checking in, and the previous occupant of the non-smoking room required a late checkout. But let's go back to your stay. If you feel that your stay did not go well because there are serious problems with room condition or guest services, you have the RIGHT to demand a refund. You could have done that on the day you were checking out. Did you complain to the management and ask for a refund? Also, if you have a correct e-mail address on file in our system, you should have gotten a survey regarding your stay, give them an F on the stay if it did not up to your needs. You are very welcome to try us again in the future, as we do have attractive rates and have all the necessary amenities in the room. Good Luck.
