This mortgage company practices deceptive techniques regarding agreements over the phone. I was contacted by a representative from the agency regarding past payment and late fees. A payment agreement was set up over the phone with an supervisor's approval. The conversation was also recorded. The agreement was for the mortgage company to auto draft 3 payments from my account which will cover the past due amount and all late fees. The company was able to withdraw the money as agreed. 3 months later another representative contacted me regarding the late fees. She stated that the late fees were never paid. Since the last 3 payments were not made with a statement they took any extra money and applied it to my escrow. This was done even though the payment agreement was done through their trained representatives and supervisor. She stated that they never apply any extra money to late fees unless you use a statement and instruct them to do so. This company agreed to withdraw money from my account and use it for the past payment and late fees. After they withdraw the money they do what they want with it, never notifies the consumer. They do not honor their agreements. They do not respond to complaints.

Gayle, I am sorry to hear about your experience with this company, who I am also dealing with and I reside in Philadelphia.

You really have to keep accurate records of every transaction with AHMSI-Homeward. Write down what was said exactly on the phone and send them Homeward a letter certified with the information for your records. These people are greedy and play a game of deception, and it seems unless they are held accountable they will continue with their deceptive practices.

Have you tried contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and file a complaint? There are several ways to report this company

If you would like send me an email [email protected]
