Our dog died at 2 years old from genetic heart defects. As a puppy she came to us with worms and parasites. Our Junebug had knee surgery at one year old and enlarged heart by one and a half years old. Our little girl didn't even look like a purbred Chihuahua and when my husband and I picked her up we both felt she was not the puppy in the photos. She weighed 8 lbs.
