Hose Me Down Carwash Scratched my car and won't pay for damages!! Snellville, Georgia
I had went to the Hose Me Down Carwash in Snellville, Georgia on December 31, 2012. The attendant with the spraying hose scrubbed my car down with a brush then continued spray it off with a water pressure like hose. I had noticed that he was getting really close to the hood with the nozzle of the hose, but I didn't think anything of it. After exiting the carwash I went over the the vacuums and continued cleaning out my car. A few minutes later I noticed that the hood of my car was severely scratched.
I called for the attendant and he admitted the the nozzle of the hose had caused the damage. He then apologized and had me fill out an accident report. He also told me that the manager would look at it the next day and have the scratches buffed out for me. I ended up having to wait two days because the car wash was closed. I went and spoke with the manager and he told me that the attendant had nothing to do with the scratches on the hood of my car. I then asked to see the video from that day. It clearly showed the attendant scratching the hood of my car with the hose. He still said that it was not the attendants fault.
After constantly arguing with the manager, he told me to go get an estimate to fix my car and if it wasn't going to cost to much, the owner of the car wash might have it fixed for me. I went and got the estimate and it was estimated that the damage was going to cost around $500 because the scratch had went through the clear coat and down into the metal. I dropped the estimate off to the manager and he told me that the owner would contact me in a few days. It has been over a week and I still haven't received any contact. I have also called the carwash several times, but every time I call they just give me the run around and the story changes every time.
