Hosea Bynum check,liar,scam,insufficient funds, park city Utah
Hosea Bynum was a friend of mine who offered to help me financially in exchange for personal training sessions, and cooking meals for him. He originally said he would give me $500- $1000 but then said no, I'm going to give you $2,000! He wrote me a check but told me I needed to wait a few days to deposit it. I was blown away and thanked him over and over again. '
He took a few days claiming he was "calling his bank" and "moving money around" until he said I could deposit the check. After I deposited the first check it bounced. He continuously said that he would get back to me but took hours and hours. when i hadnt heard from him, he said "Oh didnt you get my text? The money is there for you now and ill get you a cashiers check asap"
A couple more days go by and it was like pulling teeth to try and meet up with him. Instead of cash or a cashiers check like he promised, it was another check. He claimed the first check bouncing was my fault and it should be good to go this time. So I deposit the check, and again a few days later it bounces again! Unfortuantely i had already spent money paying of things and my account went in the negatives. I told Hosea and he said he was calling his bank and he would get the cash for me.
Days go by, I countinuously tried to meet up with him. He would lead me on saying he was 10 minutes away, then 10 minutes later he would say he was "caught in an accident". Then he would call and say he was having an "allergic reaction" and couldnt meet me. I got upset and told him to stop leading me on and own up to it, if he couldnt help me! He said he wouldnt have offered if he couldnt help me, he specifically said "Dont worry, I've got you"
Long story short he dragged this on for a couple of days. I kept hoping he would follow through because I really needed that money... he agreed to meet me with my friend one night and said he had the cash already pulled out for me. Of course, never showed up. Then he told me he had recieved some "disturbing news" from his family and because of that he couldnt give me $2,000, but could give me $1,000. Again after being dragged along he told me he was currently getting a loan from his friend for the money...
Hosea then would apologize and say he is so sorry, and that this isnt the kind of man he is, and he wants to show me through his actions that he is a man of his word blah blah blah That night he sent me a photo of $1,000 cash and sent it to me saying first thing in the morning he would bring it to me. Yet again, excuse after excuse after excuse, and waited and waited and waited and he never showed....
Through this process he countinuously lied, led me on, wrote checks he knew he didnt have sufficent funds for, and ruined a friendship. I gave him many opportunities to own up to not being able to help me with this, yet he persisted on saying he could.
Hosea countinued to say he is so sorry and words cant discribe how sorry he is, and that he is going to make this right no matter what.... yet he does nothing but string you along. He already has another rip off report for giving someone bad checks, and now he has done this to me.
I cant think of anything except he might possibly be a pathelogical liar, or sociopath. I truly hope no one else has to go through this.
