Hostelworld dont book with hostelworld. ripoff Dublin Ireland Internet
i made a hostel booking through hostel world, indicating that i was one person. hostelworld website then took the liberty of automatically diverting me to a booking that booked for 2 people. instead of telling me there were no single beds available, they just did what was most profitable for them and booked me in a double bed for 2 people. it's quite cunning how hostelworld's website automatically turns you from 1 person to two. when i contacted hostelworld, i asked to cancel and refund. they refused to give me my money back and pretty much said it was my fault for not being more careful. if youre the type of customer who likes using a website without having to worry about your every move, then you should definitely not use this site. one wrong move, and your money is gone. if you like using a website where the business will blame you for not being more careful in using the website then this is the site for you. my advise out there for people wanting to book hostels is, try using an alternative like, www.hostels.com , www.hihostels.com , www.hostelz.com . whatever you do, stay away from hostelworld. they are a deceitful company with no conscience at all. it is internet trickery to the fullest.
