HotWire Gave me hotel with far less than reported 3 star analysis. Read reviews of bedbugs, bad rooms, no electric sockets beyond 1 in bathroom. Would not give me refund. Should not be allowed to list Internet
Chose to sign up for 3 star hotel in NYC
Got the Edison Hotel.
Tried another time because reports from consumers of bedbugs, musty odor, small rooms, poor electricity, no ice machines except for 1 in entire hotel. Again got Edison Hotel. Told that there was no control of the choice. Told I had no recourse by hotel. Some parts of the hotel are being upgraded but that is not what is given to Hotwire. Hotwire should not be allowed to do this. Tey stole my money since I would not bring my wife and kids to a hotel whose reports sound like a 1-2 star hotel. Only its locations gives it any consideration by some guests for anything above a 2 star rating.
[The Edison hotel in NYC now has a customer relations person who responds to notes on the internet. Perhaps in order to save face. ]
Hotwire reviews indicate I should not use them. I will not use them again. How can they be forced to do right by customers. How can one spread the word that Hotwire is untrustworthy.
