HSBC Mortgage Services Beware when dealing with this Co., you will lose your good credit plus your sanity! Carol Stream Illinois
We refinanced with this Co. almost five years ago and it has been a nightmare from day on. They have messed up on our escrow,our interest rate has jumped up to 13.8 and no one from that co. can ever give me a reason as to why! I get told so many different things when I call there, I usually get off the phone with more questions than before.
In March my husband made a payment by check over the phone-post dated, they sent the check through a week early! Causing it to bounce and give us fees. The co. still has not paid us that money back, even though I have sent them all the needed documents. They are now telling me that I have to send then my bank statement so they can see a running total! I told them they must be out of their minds to think I would send them that information.
I have asked for help numerous times when things have gotten tough and we were short on money. I was told one time that our mortgage had to be 60 days late before be qualified-I explained to her that that was what we were trying to avoid because it would hurt our credit- her response was "if it is truly a hardship then we wouldn't care about our credit!" This tells me that they want our credit to be shot then we can't refinance with another co. Which they have successfully done-we are so deliquent on our second mortgage and our credit is so bad we will never be able to get away from them.
We are now 3 mo. behind and I have called numerous times to get help, and I was told that we qualified for help in April but the rep. never told me! So I set up a payment with a rep. and had another rep. call me and tell the payment is not enough. I told him I was not paying any more money cause this was the amount we had agreed upon and he said to me "Do you want to lose your house?" I thought this was very inappropriate.
Please, please beware when dealing this co. They will insure that you can never leave them by damaging your credit so bad no bank would ever conisder you for anything!
