I was just reading through some of the other reports on this company. Thought I'd chime in with my experiences too specifically the customer service. Crummy service, I'm going to lose it as soon as I can. Would love to join any class action but I'm not holding my breadth.
Speeds - never except maybe early in the morning do I get anything that even competes with dial-up when you factor in the upload times. I have called customer service and been told that every day I should unplug the modem for 30 seconds due to static build up that could be slowing down my service - aye carumba - what a line. Then I was experiencing outages even when the whispiest clouds came on by. Again called customer service asked if a signal strength of 36 was sufficient? They said it was sufficient, called again asked again, yes it is sufficient, finally second line support tells me nothing less than 48-50 the same pimply-faced technician with a drill and a hammer shows up makes some adjustments and the signal is up to being marginal but at least I don't lose service whenever an extra molecule of water is in the immediate atmosphere. Service is still slow, never get decent downloads or up-loads, I've resorted to hopping from coffee shop to coffee shop (literally hoping by the days end) to do anything substantial on the internet. I have complained endlessly and of course like all others not much was given. Imagine if this company actually gave back when service was crummy, they'd be out of business I gaurantee it! Anyway going to move on but again if anyone knows of any bonafide class actions chime in, this company got a good chunk of money from me and I definitely feel cheated.
