Hughesnet fair access policy rip off was not told when ordered in 2006 just started 2008 Internet Internet
I started using Hughesnet in 2006. I have had a few problems but nothing major until 09/10/2008. I started having a lot of trouble getting on the internet and my internet being really slow.
I called on 09/13/2008 and was informed (very rudely) about the fair access policy. I explained that when I ordered this I was never informed.
After speaking to three different individuals, I asked May in the billing department to send me this policy they keep telling my I signed. May informed me that she has no way of emailing me or sending me a copy in the mail. She then kept telling me that I had the copy that I was asking for. I kept telling her that I did not. I ask her several times for a supervisor. She kept asking me why I wanting to speak to a supervisor. I kept explained why numerous times and then got very aggravated and told her I did not want to speak to her anymore, I just wanted a supervisor. She then hung up on me.
This is a total rip off. I explained during these conversations that I was more than able to download as much as I wanted between the hours of 3am - 6am. This is ridiculous. I have teenagers that are in school. Why would I pay over 800.00 for equipment and 75.00 per month for internet that I have a very limited amount of time I can use? This should be considered FRAUD. I was never told at anytime when I ordered about this policy. They need to be sued......
