Huron Hardwood- Tom Gillie Tom Gillie responded quickly to take my money but customer service stopped right then and there and no hardwood or phone calls have come since! Dundas Internet
We researched hardwood in our local small community and wanted the best possible quality to stand up to our son's wheelchair. After a lot of thought and looking at samples we decided to trust the site testimonials and Tom Gillie and purchase the designer series in oak cashew for our home.
The order was placed and payment made Feb 5, 2009. Tom stated it was a special colour but that we would receive our order in 5 weeks (by mid-march).
Once Huron had our money customer service stopped. We finally got one reply email March 24th after numerous calls to say our order would ship the week of April 6th. It is 4 weeks later and still no phone call to say shipment was initiated and we're still living on plywood floors with all our furniture piled up in the bedrooms!
We are devastated by the idea that we may have had our money stolen with no hardwood forthcoming. We trusted Tom and wanted to support a Canadian business. Now we are left with a house in shambles, a severely handicapped wheelchair bound son with severe allergies not able to be around renovation dust, building tools, etc and an empty bank account. We sincerely hope that Huron and Tom could come through for our family asap as this is so cruel to let people go through what we are facing. It looks like so many others are experiencing similar devastation. We would sadly certainly not recommend Huron Hardwood to anyone let alone people with disabilities who have enough challenges to deal with as it is!
