Hi, y'all. FYI - The company has recently purchased an office building in South Norwalk, CT. The company currently uses the name, "Talent Network Direct," and is being run by the same cast of characters out of New Jersey. This company is NOW pulling the SAME SCAM in CT malls. Contact the Better Business Bureau office in your area - they are aware of the scam and will be able to assist you.

I feel like such a sucker and wish I would have read this report before I gave Industry Model & Talent Studios my $100.00 deposit. Of course there are no refunds at all and I am now being harassed by repeated phone calls for canceling my sons photo shoot. I am interested in a class action suit and agree this company needs to be shut down! My son is 11 and we dodged their scouts when we first walked into the mall but they caught us on the way out. I should have listened to my son who told me to keep walking. Of course they said how handsome my son is and asked if he had any experience in school plays or musicals. I gave them my cell phone number thinking they will never call, well they did call the next week. They gave us an appointment for 1:00pm and I guess everyone had their appointment for the same time. We were called into the room by Paula who signed the contract as a Development Director. Most of her conversation was directed to my son which got him very excited to look through her album and the different comp cards. Then she showed me the prices and said that the $500.00 package is for babies and that we had to choose from anything that was $700.00 or more. My son's photo shoot was for 8/23/08 at 1:00 pm. I found out from a friend that I know last Sunday that IMTS is a scam. On Wednesday 8/20/08 I received a call to confirm the photo shoot and advised the girl on the phone that we had to reschedule, she said okay and hung up. The next day I received two or three calls to reschedule and each time I replied I do not have a date. Between today 8/23/08 and yesterday I must have received at least seven calls from countless people demanding that I give them a date, that I signed a legal contract that is binding. OMG!!!!! I will be contacting the FTC, the Attorney General, the Mayor of Edgewater, their City Hall, the BBB, the IRS and anyone else who will listen! They need to be shut DOWN AND ALL CASH SHOULD BE REFUNDED!!

My 14 year old daughter was approached by one of their representatives at Woodbridge mall. We filled out a card and asked them a couple of questions. They seemed legit. On Saturday, June 21st we had an appointment with Suzanne H.(one of the directors) at 1:00pm. She showed us photos of her models and what commercials they have done. Then, she told us we had to pick a photo shoot right there and then. She also told us that 80% of her models get work. This didn't sound true, but we couldn't do any research until we got home. She told us we could schedule a photoshoot now and then we can always call back to change our minds. She said she is always available. I've left her over 5 messages and still haven't gotten a call back. The receptionist but me through to someone else names Jessica. Jessica told me it was no problem and i can get my money back if from customer care on Monday. I called customer care on Monday(3 or 4 times) and they told me Jessica doesn't exist! I have her on my answering machine! Anyway, now they are telling me they won't give my money back. My yellow copy of the contract says "Absolutely refunds shall be given under any circumstances and there shall be no cancellation after the Photoshoot date." However, on the original white copy she is saying it says "No refund will be given."The original and copy are different! SCAM! Since, most of you live in New Jersey, we should get together and file a class action suit. We'll split the cost of one attorney and work together to shut these people down. Also, we could all get out money back. It seems like there is a lot of us and we should definitely get together to do this. E-mail me if you're interested. I've also notified my credit card company of this scam. I sent them some things about the scam of this company. I have a recorded of her saying "We have a good track with Better Business Bureau." This is also another lie. I called them and their are so many complaints with them. Again, If you know any other group of people that are already doing this, I would like to join.
