I received a legitamate-looking check and an 'acceptance' letter in the mail. It looks like it's from WalMart with their name and address on the letter. No phone number is given but you'll get a telphone/fax number after you 'activate' your account. The letter looks legitamate as well but the breakdown of the check doesn't make sense. 1. Participation pay for first wee is $350, 2. Stipulated Amount for Evaluation (see survey assignment #1) and 3. Required Funds for retail shopping assignment (see survey assignment #2). This means they are giving me $1,643.22 for 'shopping' for the 'survey'.   I just don't believe anyone would hand over that kind of money for that type of work. The letter is signed  James L. Kennedy, Director of Operations.  Red flag.

The check looks good, watermarks, border says 'this check is void without a green & blue border and background plus a knight & fingerprint watermark on the back -- hold at angle to view. It is signed but difficult to read: Jeffrey something but under the signature line there is no name, just 'Senior VP, Finance and Treasureer. Another red flag again.

Another red flag is the envelope had no return address, and used a stamp rather than a postage meter. And the stamp is from Spain.  Also, the stamp cancelation is from Madrid, Spain.  I'm pretty darn sure WalMart isn't sending mail to participants from a foreign country!

I would love to receive almost $2000 in the mail, but this is obviously too good to be true. Beware!
