Inphonic Rebate Processing, Sprint PCS Rate Plan Rebate Rip-Off White Bear Lake Minnesota
I made the mistake of ordering 2 Samsung VGA cell phones on-line from Inphonic.com. It sounded like a great deal..I would get the phones for free (after mail-in rebate). What a ride they are putting me through! I originally purchased the phones 04/16/04. Since then it has been nothing short of mayhem..starting with the wrong phones ordered, then being charged for service from Sprint PCS before I even recieved my phones and then fighting for months for my much deserved rebate of $200.00.
Every time I call concerning the rebate they have put me off or accidentally hung-up on me. I was told numerous times that they were behind due to customer demand, etc. I finally recieved a letter from them in August asking for (yet again) copies of phone bills. So, here I go again to the post office to pay yet another almost $10.00 to send more copies priority mail with delivery confirmation. Today (9/16/04) I became irate with a manager on the phone when she told me that they had not recieved validation yet on one of my rebates..supposedly because I mailed both rebates together (even though I purchased both phones together and they are billed together) and they only had one copy for the rebate.
I then asked if she had a xerox machine there??? she said it was not their responsibility to copy paperwork..I then asked what their responsibility was (seen as how I had copied and mailed numerous times myself). She replied that each rebate had to be validated and apologized that they were behind a couple of weeks. I finally gave up the conversation and told her that I was going to complain everywhere I could, so that people can know what their staggering stalling tactics are. I sure hope this complaint sounds sensible enough, because I am so aggrevated, but feel it is sooo important that people beware!! Inphonic is a "Rip-Off!"
