International Fishing Charters Company takes deposits and offers no real service San Diego California
I was planning a fishing trip and this web site supposedly will help you find a boat to charter, put you in contact with the boat captain, and take the deposit which will hold the reservation.
In reality this website/company has no direct links to any boats or captains. They create links from their website to other legitamate boat charter sites they find on the web and act as middlemen. They will take your deposit without ever confirming an actual charter because they can't. They have no connections to the boat captains. However, they send you a message confirming the reservation, after the deposit is received. The captain is then supposed to contact you, I guess based upon an e-mail that they have possibly sent to the legitamate website.
However, what happens is the captain never contacts you and eventually after you start making your own calls you discover that the captain is not available that day and then IFC tries to get you to go on a date which is completely different from what you first desired. This of course is happening with no chance of a refund!!!!!!
Later you also find that the deposit you have already given to the website is meaningless because the boat captain never sees it. You will have to give the boat captain another deposit!!!!
The boat captains are completely out of the loop and are upset that their operations are getting involved with this sham!!
I have spoken to a legitamate boat captain and his information matches what I have stated.
