I was contacted by
Derek Boyd of
Hollywood Auditions.Com to offer online advertising space for my photography services.
Derek Boyd said he found from my photography ad on LA Casting. We agreed to the amount of $150.00 for ads on various sites owned by Hi-Tech, the parent company of Hollywood Auditions. I asked for a contract, and
Derek said it would be sent to me via email. After several days I received a contract to fill out, but the amount was $200.00. I refused to fill it out and sign for that amount. I called him and told him that the agreement was $150. He said he would check into it. After a bit of research on
Hollywood Auditions.Com I decided to cancel the deal altogether. I called
Boyd and told him to cancel the order.
Derek Boyd was perturbed and stated that I didn't keep my word. I stated that he tried to overcharge me with the $200 amount.
Derek Boyd said he would immediately cancel the order. No agreement was signed, and no ad space was set up. I checked my credit card account, and saw that
Hi Tech Networks had charged my card for $200 3 days before I'd ever been sent a contract to fill out. I have been contacting
Derek Boyd by phone for the last two weeks, and he has on several occasions told me that the refund would reach my account on one day. It didn't. I called back the next day, and he said it would be there by the end of that day. It wasn't. My business partner called
Derek Boyd today, and he said the refund would hit my account within 2 hours. It hasn't. I called him again, and my last call was not returned. While I am taking it up with my credit card reporting the fraud, I am still attempting to reach
Derek Boyd.
