Invitation Processing Katie Kirsten Katie Kirsten It looks like this scam has reared it's ugly head again this year but it's now out of Texas Dallas Texas
I can't say for sure that this is a scam because I didn't respond to their request, but we all know that if an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is. They start off by pointing out that they use First Class Mail and not 3rd class mass mailings, so you should believe that you are special! The most disturbing thing about this six page letter that I received, is that they said the 'secret society' has read my "profile" and that they've "hand picked" me to become a member for free. They never tell you where they obtained said profile.
The word free is in bold throughout the letter, and it boasts of how they will send a free report that will completely change your life ...you'll be able to win lotteries, read peoples minds, lose weight, and see the future. All this is revealed in their free 56 page report! Oh..and you can't tell anyone either because it's a secret..they tell you that you've been chosen, that you are meant to do 'great things' and they'd show you the way. They tell you that its "your calling", but you can't tell anyone about it. Now, if I had chosen to reply and get their free report, how would they know that I'd never tell anyone?? And what would happen if I shared these secrets?? C'mon people!!! WTF?
Like another poster about this letter mentioned, I believe my name and address was obtained from some home based business idea or law of attraction newsletter that I opted into has passed on my information to this 'company'. I only wish I could pin point where they got my info, because it would be THAT person, who this complaint would be filed against.
One has to wonder if the report is free, why didn't they just send it along, with this six page letter claiming it was not alot of hoopla??
