On Dec.1 I ordered an appliance. My credit card was charged on Dec. 4. No shipping / tracking info provided and the product was never received. Investigation shows this company operates under various aliases and even uses call forwarding to pay per minute numbers when they send an order confirmation but never actually provide a working telephone number on their WEB sites. Several of these sites link to a single site "peppinocaterers.com" located at 333 Jericho Turnpike, Sysosset, N.Y. The New York attorney general's office lists this firm as operating under the name Syosset Gourmet LLC of the same address.
Surfing the WEB brings up several references to these sites as links from the Al Jazeera WEB home page.
Inquiries and reports of other scam victims should be forwarded to the New York State Attorney Generals Office and a copy sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
