My wife was offered empoyment by this company and offered $2500 a month to relay packages. It was simpe, she recived packages, opened them and uploaded the pictures of what was inside (usually electronics) to ensure that they were not damanged. Then the company would email her a shipping lable and she would send the packages on to the buyer. The idea is so that the buyer can avoid luxury tax or get an item shipped to a state or country that the original shipper refuses to ship to. The company stated that my wife would be paid 30 days after she recived her first package. All went well and the packages were comining in left and right and the company was in constant contact with her the entire time. August 29th was her 30 day mark and suddenly all packages stopped as did all communication. Mind you I was very leary to allow her to take this job because of so many internet scams out there. However I searched the company and found nothing but good reviews and even a BBB accreditation. Today being almost a week after she was suppoed to be paid I decided to do some more research and found this on the BBB website regarding this company.
"On July 23, 2015, it was brought to our attention that the website,islandwidecourier.com displays “BBB Accredited Business” seal. This business is NOT accredited by BBB and our policies prohibit such reference.
On July 28, 2015, Hawaii's BBB contacted the business via telephone to verify if the website, islandwidecourier.com, belongs to them since the telephone number and e-mail address listed at the referenced website were inconsistent with our record and US DOT record. The business stated that the website, islandwidecourier.com, is not theirs. Also, neither the listed the phone number, 888-373-0748, nor the e-mail address, [email protected], at the referenced website are theirs.
Hawaii's BBB has received reports from consumers receiving work-at-home offers by islandwidecourier.com via e-mail to manage packages sent to their homes to be re-shipped for $2,500 per months. It is not a job offer made by this business in Maui and consumers should be wary about such offer." My concern now is what did they use our address for besides shipping their packages? what do we do with the two packags that we still have? How many other people have gotten screwed out of their money?!
