Process: An initial interview takes place in the office and they discuss your likes and dislikes, hobbies, education, background, and what you are looking for overall. This takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Afterwards they show you the packages $2400 12 dates/1-year, $3200 24 dates/1-years and higher. If you would like to SEE your date beforehand you have to pay extra. The consultant then explains the process; they call with a description, date, and time. You agree, they will not let you disagree. After the date they call the next day, or you call the next day and describe the experience.
First date: My ex-boyfriend. He belittles my choice of outfit, hairstyle and the like. We discuss the process and the dates he has been on and etc.
Consultant calls: How was the date?
Me: You mean with my ex-boyfriend?
Consultant: .............
Me: Yes, it was a nightmare if you would have told me he went to the same university as me this would have been avoided. But, instead you wasted my time and his time.
I said I wanted to cancel the service, their policy does state if people within your parameters cannot be found you can cancel the service minus the $300 intial processing, paperwork fees.
Second date: I walk into the restaurant he is already seated. He gets one look at me and decides I am unattractive. We have awkward conversation about our children. He is attractive but obviously we have nothing in common besides creating offspring with our ex-partners.
(Another awkward interaction between me and the consultant)
Third date: A man 12 years older than me, wants children, and confesses he sees a therapist on a weekly basis and enjoys watching South Park and makes several references throughout dinner to South Park.
(Another awkward interaction between me and the consultant)
Fourth date: He is younger than me by two-years but very well put-together but it was obvious we did not have anything in common either.
(consultant did not even try to contact me)
Fifth date: a man 16 years older than me, wants children, wants to get married, and is currently seeing someone else.
Regardless of my insistence to find a man within four years of my age, does not want children, and has no religious affiliation they have consistently set me up with whoever they can find.
Please. Stick to online dating. I have had better luck on OkCupid and Tinder compared to this nightmare and they are free!
This is the worst possible excuse for a matchmaking service, clearly unorganized without any sense of direction.
I felt like Tzeitel from Fiddler on the Roof when Yente tried to match her with Lazar wolf.
