Hello Everyone,
I am a former Career Counselor at ITT Tech and I have quite a few terrible stories about this pathetic excuse for a school. I had one student approach me for a practice interview, who had been enrolled at ITT for seven quarters and had just found out that they put her in the IT-CNS program, instead of the CEET program. She broke down into tears and the Dean was "upset," about having to deal with her situation.

The main reason I terminated my own employment with ITT was because I was watching students being, "taken," on a daily basis and it ate at my conscience. I also wasn't very happy with the staff I worked with, or the boss that ITT found (that had never worked at a college before!) We had tons of students venting to us about recruiters lying to them about whether or not their units would transfer. Recruiters would tell the students that their units would transfer, simply to get them in the door, and then once the student was enrolled and the money went to ITT, they couldn't care less about the student. Most of the time, by the time the actual student was about to graduate (and had a complaint,) the recruiter had been fired, or had decided to seek employment elsewhere. It's like a revolving door with ITT Tech because they treat their staff like crap.

Good to see a few people of conscience out there. You should share your experiences with other organizations as well, if you haven't done so already. For example, there is a student advocacy group called "Campus Progress", which is fighting for stricter "Gainful Employment" regulations to start clamping down on the abusive practices of for-profit "colleges".

Bottom line - share your experiences with these organizations, post your comments on youtube, and make your voice heard so that others don't fall for their traps.
