ITT Technical Institute It's a terrible waste of money. 90% of the teachers were not knowledgable about the classes they were teaching. It was a way for them and administration to make money off of people who are desparate. A few months after I graduated, the place was raided and their files were confiscated. What does that tell you? Indianapolis Indiana
The 'instructors' were for the most part, not as familiar with the subject they were teaching as most of my classmates. They would just say 'follow the book'. I could have done that at home for less money. When I asked for clarification or how to do something, I was usually told to look in the textbook.
I only wanted to take a class every semester or so and the next thing I know, I'm full time (they told me I could not do that) and I'm in debt to my eyeballs and STILL cannot find work.
I graduated in Nov. 2003 and shortly after that a friend told me he came to class one night and the place was closed and the police were confiscating all the records. He thought it had something to do with their student loan stuff. I have found my degree is pretty much useless as I cannot find any place that takes it seriously and frankly, I don't blame them.
Actually, I got the impression that the school was being run by a bunch of 'good old boys' for a bunch of 'good old boys' who were 'teaching' for some extra money. The very few good instructors were trying hard to find work elsewhere
I tell everyone who is thinking about going back to school to not go to ITT..
