In1998 I visited B'ssa Cattery when Jane was breeding Norwegian Forest Cats.......
I was there twice once to see the kitten and his mother, then the second time when I brought him home.......there was no issues, the house was clean and in order.... all the cats and kittens were well taken care of and had no issues with Jane. My kitten was healthy and lived a long life almost 19 years.....best cat I ever had the pleasure to be owned by
I have been researching catteries for another as Jane does not breed NFC any more..... and other breeders that know Jane have had nothing but good things to say about her, what she has done for the NFC breed and that she is still very much involved with the breed

I purchased two Tonks from this person/cattery. I was in her home and cattery to visit the kittens at about 6 weeks. This was in early 2014. The cattery was not dirty at all. The cages were all clean. There was no smell. The cat supplies were stacked up neatly etc. I've been a cat owner for many years and would immediately have noticed something amiss. I spent about 45 minutes there, chatting with her and visiting all of the cats in her care, and got no sense at all of any problems at all. And several years on my Tonks are in perfect health and are goregous, wonderful, well-adjusted animals.
Jane definitely seemed eccentric to me, and is fanatical about her cats. She yelled at me when i suggested a different brand of cat food, which my vet had recommended. But fine, i just knew not to discuss the topic with her! Her desk was disorganized. but so is mine...
I suspect whoever wrote that review just got into an argument with her and wrote the review in anger.

I know Jane personally and this complaint is not valid. There are several incorrect things in the report. Jane is heavily involved in animal WELFARE, not animal rights. She advocates for responsible ownership and responsible breeding. She has been instrumental in the development and maintanence of the Tonkinese breed since its inception. She truly loves animals and does everything in her power to care for hers properly. She also does not live in or near Hamilton NJ and has not for nearly a decade, so I doubt the validity of this report.
